So much for being good about updating

Now I will say that I have pictures, I just need to upload them. My camera went into hiding for a few days and I found it.

Not sure if I have mentioned it but Tortie has a multiple food allergies and a disease called Eosinophilic Esophagitis or EE. We have known about it for the last 4 years, this requires him to limit his foods as his bodies white blood cells attack what they perceive as virus' and he gets sick either by throwing up, stomach pain, or loose stools. He also does not absorb the nutrients from the foods that he is allergic to or has reactions to. His is also drinking a special Formula called Neocate One+, it is Amino Acid based so

So last Wednesday we (Daddy, Tortie, Buttefly Girl and I) went to UIC to visit his ped GI, Dr. Kagalwalla who is wonderful, and do an Endoscopic procedure. In order to see if Tortie is doing better, he needs to have an Endoscopy done and biopsies taken. In reality this should be done at least every 6 - 8 weeks as a new food is introduced or taken away. It has been almost a year and a half. So Dr. K asked me what my gut said and I told him, he is no better if not worse.

So they gave Tortie a little bit of Versed, which makes you loopy and fall asleep and he was hilarious, he would say "mommy, A bluh bluh bluh bluh" He was asleep before he went into the procedure room which was good. Now Butterfly girl was very concerned about her big brother and kept asking "Tortie sleeping? Tortie night, night sleeping?" to which we answered yes. She asked about him the whole time he was gone and was very upset she couldn't go to recovery with him.

So when his procedure was Done, Dr. K came out and talked to us. Visually he did look worse, but at least his eosphagus wasn't narrowing. We are currently waiting for the biopsies to come back, but it doesn't look good. We have to meet with Dr. K in another 3 - 5 weeks to determine what we need to do to try and get him healthy. He is such a trooper about all of this and I couldn't be prouder!

Onto the other kids, Dolphie is going to be the death of me. He is my limit pusher and let's see if we can drive mom insane boy. Now he has ADHD, but I only allow so much for that as I have ADHD too, bad thing he is me, with all the annoying parts of his father thrown into the mix. Poor child!

Butterfly is adorable, she has been saying her name but misses some letters in it. And she has fallen in LOVE with Christmas trees. Everytime we see one she points it out, it is adorable.

Ok I guess this one is long enough and I need to get back to work.

Life and those around me

I am trying to work on documenting my kids life more, but then I get sick, Ugh or the kids do. SO updates as I can.

Last night dh and I went to see Jeff Dunham, this is our third date since Butterfly born. She's 2 1/2. Our wonderful neighbor D watch all 3 kids and did a sleep over with them. Mind you she has her own three grandkid's also 2 boys and a girl, plus her SO's 2 grandsons were there. So saint that she is she had the following age ranges Dolphin Boy, 8, her grandson, 7, her other grandson, 6, Tortie (turtle boy), 5, SO's DGS #1, 3, Butterfly 2, her DGD, 1 1/2 and SO's DGS 1 1/2. See why I say saint? She actually did not need to do much with SO's grand kids, but she still had 4 boys and 2 girls. But they did great. I actually got to sleep for 5 hours straight, it was amazing. I even got to take a shower, BY MYSELF!

Dolphie has been a pistol lately, really pushing his limits. Which has ended up with him losing privileges and stuffed animals. He hasn't been to happy, but neither have I with his attitude.

Tortie has been put back on his ADHD meds which has made a big improvement, he is been working on coloring and is now starting spell words and made huge leaps identifying letters more quickly. It is amazing!

Butterfly is emerging! She has really started talking lately and it is so sweet! And she really likes to assert herself to get her way, which is cute and bad at the same time.

I will try to get some pictures up as soon as I get them downloaded.

The kids are cracking me up

Our middle dog will need to be put down soon (not what you expected with the title) and Dolphin Boy is having a problem with it, but Turtle Boy is going "It's Ok we still have Bishop and Amber" and Butterfly Girl is hugging him all the time.

Isn't that sweet.

For me, I LOVE this guy Jeff Dunham he has a new 90 minute show on Comedy Central this Sunday and I am so excited. Here is a preview link

DB caught his first fish! Look at this face!

He was so exited!

Butterfly girl liked them too!

She kept walking over and saying Fish Fish!
Turtle boy caught one too, that was enough can you tell hre was having fun?

So while DB was still fishing Daddy took TB and BFG for a walk. How sweet is this!

S0 They then played with the water

Ok I have spent an hour on this post at work so more later!

Boils!

Posted by Jessica

That's right, Boils. Turtle Boy got a boil on his butt. We went to see our favorite Dr. and he squeezed it and took a sample. Poor baby was crying :( He is on antibiotics now incase it is Staph. Good news is he is up to 37 lbs!

Butterfly Girl is leaping and bounding with her learning skills. It is truely amazing.

AND Dolphin Boy needs to sleep more because he is very crabby in the mornings. Which makes me very crabby.

Thoughts for a friend of mine whose dd's water broke and she is 26 weeks would be appreciated.

The Start

Posted by Jessica

Spurred on by others I have decided to blog out my kids. I have 2 Boys and a Girl. They are the loves of my life. Dolphin boy is 7 turning 8 shortly, Turtle boy is 4 turning 5 shortly and Butterfly girl who just turned 2.

As many parents say, my kids are smart, too smart for their own good. Butterfly just turned 2 and is already well on her way to being potty trained, to the point of turning the light on and off herself! She has exploded with words lately, mostly No, and Mine, which is fun!

Turtle boy has a ton of allergies and uses them sometimes to get his way. We were worried for a while that he was following behind in somethings but he too has exploded with Vocabulary and learning new things.

Finally is Dolphin boy, he is smart and just like me when I was his age, which means we fight, constantly. He is smart when he wants to be and acts dumb when he wants also, drives me insane! LOL

Well that is it for now. I will try and do this as often as possible.
